Seems my original post got archived! So sorry!
Do it yourself is such a big thing, but it normally means getting out the hammer and nails.
For my challenge, I would love you to let your imagination go wild and create your own embellishment(s). This could be flowers, frames, creative stitching - anything goes!
For my first layout this month, I created my embellishments out of a variety of papers and creative stitching.
If you take a closer look, I created a pleated 'flower' which is layered with of the wonderful vintage music paper in this month's kit.
I have used more vintage paper to create a swathe of leaves across my page, intertwined with stitching.
So why not join me this month and try making your own embellishments? I'd love to see your ideas. Just remember to post back here with a link to the gallery.

Great idea to get more out of supplies! Does using a Cricut count? If not I have the perfect thing for this!

Thanks for the great challenge. I added the y-o-u to the overlay, created a layered butterfly with a stamp, added pink cut flowers, added hand cut letters, and created the date and butterfly in the circle with stamps.

Awesome layouts everyone. I just love the way a handmade embellishment really personalises a layout.
Great techniques too - I want to try these out as asoon as I can.

Here is another one where I used the negative of the swirl (which was actually used on another layout)to basically use this as a stencil to ink. Then I made my own paper flower again.
